AAP Magazine Issue #48, themed “Portrait,” invites photographers from across the globe to embark on a compelling journey into the human experience. This issue is a tribute to the art of capturing the essence of humanity — that fleeting spark in someone’s eyes, the quiet strength in their posture, or the unspoken stories etched into their expression. From timeless studio settings to spontaneous self-portraits snapped on a phone, the most powerful portraits are those that reveal something deeper — a universal connection that transcends borders, cultures, and generations.

We are calling on artists and photographers to submit portraits that honor both the beauty and complexity of the genre. Celebrate the diversity of the human form, the honesty of emotion, the richness of identity, and the creativity of self-expression. We welcome a wide array of portrait styles: formal studio setups, candid moments captured in everyday life, experimental self-portraits, fine art compositions, and conceptual work that challenges conventional norms.

There are over 7.5 billion individuals on this planet, each with a story to tell. Show us the ones who matter to you — the faces that have moved you, inspired you, or changed the way you see the world.

All styles and techniques are encouraged — whether you're working in black and white or color, using film or digital, embracing traditional processes or pushing the boundaries with modern editing techniques. We celebrate photographic innovation in all its forms.

Submissions will be judged based on three key elements: creativity, originality, and the emotional and visual power of the image. Winning entries will be showcased on All About Photo’s platform and shared across social media, giving your work the visibility it deserves.
