Call for Entries: Trees and Water Photo Exhibition
Black Box Gallery is excited to host Trees and Water, a juried photography exhibition showcasing the beauty and significance of these two vital elements. Photographers are encouraged to submit works that highlight the dynamic relationship between trees and water — from tranquil forest streams to stormy coastal waves, foggy mountain landscapes to snowy woodland scenes.
Water can appear as oceans, rivers, fountains, or falling rain, while trees provide powerful compositional structure and visual depth. This exhibition celebrates contemporary photographers who creatively capture these subjects in unique and captivating ways.
Juror Todd Johnson, founder of Black Box Gallery, will curate 24 images for display in the gallery, along with 30 additional photographs for the online annex. All selected works will appear in a catalog available for purchase.
Selected photographers will benefit from complimentary printing, matting, and framing services. Artists must provide a high-resolution TIFF or JPEG file for printing on Epson Premium Luster Photo Paper to ensure optimal quality.
Following the exhibition, prints will remain in the gallery’s flat file for further promotion. Black Box Gallery takes a 50% commission on any sales, with the remaining 50% going directly to the photographer.
The exhibition will run from May 1-25, 2025, and the submission deadline is April 11. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your artistic vision of Trees and Water.
