Decode Gallery is pleased to announce our forthcoming exhibition, dedicated to the exploration of COLOR in photography. Color is an integral aspect of visual storytelling, allowing artists to convey mood, create impact, and highlight the subject in compelling ways. Whether through the rich saturation of bold hues, the delicate balance of soft tones, or the interplay of shadows and light, color plays a fundamental role in shaping an image. We invite photographers to submit their most striking and innovative uses of color for this juried exhibition.
A minimum of 26 photographs will be selected for inclusion in the show. All accepted works will be professionally printed by Decode Gallery at no cost to the artist. We utilize an Epson printer with Ilford Pearl paper, ensuring a high standard of quality. Each selected photograph will be displayed in a 22” x 22” museum-quality white frame with a pre-cut white mat. Available mat sizes include 11” x 11”, 10” x 15”, 11” x 15”, 12” x 15”, among others. The final submitted high-resolution images will be resized to best fit the chosen mat without any cropping, preserving the photographer’s original composition.
Photographers who choose to list their exhibition prints for sale will be notified if a buyer expresses interest. All rights to the image and print remain with the photographer. Decode Gallery operates on a 50% commission structure, meaning that 50% of any sale proceeds go to the artist, while the remaining 50% supports the gallery.
Selected artists will be notified of their acceptance within two weeks following the submission deadline. Upon acceptance, high-resolution JPG files must be submitted within two days to facilitate the printing process. The official gallery opening is scheduled for April 5th, providing an opportunity for photographers to present their work in a professional setting and engage with fellow artists and photography enthusiasts.
