Photographers and publishers from any country may participate, provided their submitted photography books were published between March 1, 2024, and March 1, 2025. Submissions must be completed via the online registration form. After registering, applicants must print the confirmation email and mail it along with two copies of each submitted book to: Best Photography Book of the Year Award, C/ Verónica, 13, 28014 Madrid, Spain.

Participants can apply to one of four categories:

• Research: For books that uncover significant archives or reinterpret the works of photography masters, including theoretical essays.

• Creation: For books showcasing an author's personal work with a strong conceptual or narrative approach.

• Bibliophilia: For books distinguished by their unique edition, beauty, rarity, or material quality.

• First Publication: For artists publishing their first authored book.
