Color isn’t just an element in photography—it’s a force. It can completely change how we feel about an image, creating mood, commanding attention, or telling a story without words. In Color + Space, we challenge photographers to embrace the full power of color and explore how it transforms and interacts with the spaces within a frame. Whether it’s a sweeping landscape, a cozy corner of a home, or a piece of abstract art, we want to see how color lives, breathes, and defines space.

This exhibition is all about discovery—about how color, whether bold or subtle, structured or spontaneous, can shape perspective and deepen our understanding of the environment within the image. We’re looking for photographs that go beyond the surface, where color isn’t just present, but pivotal. Show us how it alters perception, creates depth, or leads the eye through a scene. Let your use of color become the driving force that transforms the photograph from image to experience.

We’re proud to announce that Ann Jastrab, acclaimed curator and champion of fine art photography, will serve as our juror for Color + Space. She will handpick 35 standout photographs for display in our physical gallery in Middlebury, Vermont, and an additional 40 for our Online Gallery. All selected images—75 in total—will be published in our exhibition catalog, permanently featured on our website, and highlighted across social media, complete with direct links to each photographer’s online portfolio for maximum exposure.
