Dreams are a mysterious and often elusive realm where reality bends and the imagination thrives. For photographers, this boundless space provides endless opportunities to explore themes of memory, emotion, and perception. Within dreams, ordinary moments can become extraordinary, and familiar surroundings may transform into surreal landscapes. Through this powerful medium, photographers can capture fleeting sensations, elusive ideas, and deeply personal reflections. Dream-inspired imagery invites viewers to step outside the familiar, embracing the unknown with curiosity and wonder.
We invite photographers to submit work for our upcoming exhibition, "Dreams and Imagined Realities." We are seeking images that transport viewers to otherworldly spaces—whether soft and serene, haunting and unsettling, or thought-provoking and symbolic. The work may incorporate layered textures, experimental techniques, or unconventional compositions that speak to the complexities of the dream world. From vividly surreal to delicately ambiguous, we welcome all interpretations that explore the fine line between conscious thought and subconscious vision.
Our distinguished juror, Emma Powell, will carefully select up to 35 photographs for physical display in our Middlebury, Vermont gallery. An additional 40 images will be showcased in our Online Gallery, ensuring all selected works receive broad visibility. All featured images will be included in our exhibition catalog, highlighted on our website, and promoted on social media platforms, with links directing viewers to each photographer's online portfolio.
