The Chateau Gallery - Call For Entry: The Narrative

A narrative has the power to tell stories that span across a vast spectrum of subjects, touching upon nearly every facet of human experience. It can recount tales rooted in religion, mythology, legend, historical events, and literature, offering perspectives on the profound stories that have shaped cultures and civilizations throughout time. Additionally, a narrative can delve into deep, existential questions, exploring themes like the meaning of life, the inevitability of death, or the very nature of reality itself. Through the art of storytelling, we are not only transported to different eras and worlds, but we are also entertained, educated, and often inspired to think more deeply about our own lives. Narratives help us see the world from fresh viewpoints, encouraging empathy and understanding, and reminding us of our shared humanity. They often reveal the beauty and complexity of the world around us, fostering a deeper appreciation for life’s many wonders.

This power of storytelling extends into visual media, and that's where you come in—what's your story?

The Narrative is an international open call designed for photographers aged 18 and older, inviting creators to share their unique perspectives and stories through visual imagery. This call welcomes submissions of all forms of two-dimensional images, embracing both traditional and non-conventional media. Photographers are encouraged to explore various conventional or alternative processes, whether analog or digital, and present works that challenge, inspire, or provoke thought. Whether you’re capturing a fleeting moment, expressing an abstract idea, or crafting a complex visual narrative, The Narrative is your platform to showcase your work and contribute to a larger conversation about storytelling through photography.
