The Homiens Art Prize is a prestigious international award that welcomes artists of all backgrounds, styles, and disciplines. Unlike traditional art prizes, it is non-acquisitive, meaning artists retain full ownership of their work while benefiting from global exposure. Our mission is to celebrate, elevate, and support contemporary artists by showcasing their creations across our media platforms, ensuring that their work is seen by collectors, curators, and fellow artists in the United States and across the world.
At Homiens, we provide more than just recognition—we offer a dynamic platform for artistic growth. Through our prize, artists gain invaluable opportunities to connect with peers, collaborate on new projects, expand their professional networks, and reach an international audience of buyers, institutions, and collectors. By exhibiting with Homiens, artists receive institutional validation, an essential step toward securing future commissions, gallery representation, and career advancement.
Each round of the competition selects six exceptional Winning Artists whose work is prominently featured in our exhibitions. These winners receive an unrestricted cash award of $500, a valuable contribution to their artistic practice. They also have the opportunity to participate in an in-depth interview, sharing insights into their creative journey. Additionally, they may request a letter of recommendation from our esteemed jurors, which can serve as a vital endorsement for future residencies, grants, or gallery opportunities.
Beyond the winners, we recognize 12 additional Finalists per round, whose work is also exhibited and celebrated. Furthermore, up to 200 artists receive the distinction of being Highly Commended, an acknowledgment that highlights their talent and dedication. All artists who enter are considered for exhibition, ensuring that each submission is given thoughtful attention. Through our platform, we seek to amplify the voices of artists worldwide, fostering a thriving, interconnected creative community.
